Tiny Tots

All Tiny Tot sessions will be held on a weekday evening at the outdoor fields just north of the Anoka High School.  This allows you to keep your weekends free for other activities.

The summer program is an extension of the indoor program - same philosophy, same instructors.  If you like the indoor program, you will like the outdoor program.  The Tiny Tot program is designed to be an introduction to soccer.  We don't pretend that our programs are for everyone. We have a definite philosophy that we are always going to follow.  If you do not like the outdoor program, we can help you find a program that better suits your needs.

Each session is planned and overseen by Jon Nash. Jon has been a trainer in this program for 10 years.  Jon was an all-conference sweeper, played in the Minnesota State High School Tournament and went to State with a number of high level summer traveling teams.  The other trainers have all played soccer at a high level and have had experience training young players.

Each player must have soccer shin guards (do not pay a lot for these at this age), soccer shorts and soccer socks or athletic pants - the shin guards must be covered.  At this age many of the players prefer athletic pants because they give them a little more protection.

Mighty Mites

All Tiny Tot sessions will be held on a weekday evening at the outdoor fields just north of the Anoka High School.  This allows you to keep your weekends free for other activities.

The summer program is an extension of the indoor program - same philosophy, same instructors.  If you like the indoor program, you will like the outdoor program.  The Mighty Mite program is designed to be an introduction to soccer skills - individual and game skills.  We don't pretend that our programs are for everyone. We have a definite philosophy that we are always going to follow.  If you do not like the outdoor program, we can help you find a program that better suits your needs.

Each session is planned and overseen by Jon Nash. Mighty Mites Do's and Don'ts

  • Parents are free to take pictures on the field (e-mail them to us and we will post some of them on the web site).
  • Parents can bring treats or drinks for their children
  • Non-players are not allowed on the field to play and or shoot at the net on their own (this distracts the kids).
  • Players can wear jackets or sweatshirts if they are cold.
  • Play will be suspended if there is inclement weather, especially if lighting is in the area or if it is extremely hot.
  • Please do not leave the field if the weather is questionable.
  • Please be at the field at least 10 minutes before the scheduled end of the session.

Why a Summer Tiny Tots and Mighty Mites Program

Every year we are asked why we don't have a summer program.  The reality is that we never had the people available to help us run a summer program the way we want to run a summer program.  In 2011 we were finally able to look establish a summer program for the Tiny Tots and Mighty Mites due to the fact that we have instructors led by Jon Nash who have worked in the winter program for over a decade and are ready to expand the program.

Last years program got off to a rocky start due to the weather but ultimately was very successful.  We recieved great feedback from the kids and the parents.  Jon will again be leading the summer program and, with a year under his belt, it should only get better.

The summer program will be an extension of the indoor program.  If you are looking to have your child develop into a travelling player, we can help work toward that goal.  If you are looking to have your child stay active and discover the fun of playing soccer, we can help achieve that goal.  Both goals are equally important to us.  Since we are not formally tied to any summer traveling program, you can be assured that we have no motives other than what is best for your child.
