  • What age level would I play at?

We have the following age levels - 10, 12, 14, 16 & 19.  Your age for the 2008 season is determined by your age as of August 1, 2008.  If you turn 16 on August 2, 2008, you would be considered a 15 for the 2008 soccer season.  You can play at your age level or older levels.  In other words, if you are 15 you could play at the 16 league or the 19 league but could not play at the 14 league.

  • Can I play in more than one age level?

Yes; however, you must pay for each league that you are in.  Your second registration fee is discounted by 20%.

  • Do I put a team together or does the league make the teams?

At the 10, 12 & 14 leagues, NIS places players on teams.  You can request on your registration form to play with a certain player.  While the league will try to honor your requests, it is not always possible and NIS reserves the right to move players from teams if the granted requests result in an unbalanced league.

At the 16 and 19 leagues, players can form their own teams.  You can also put in an individual registration and request that NIS place you on a team.  NIS reserves the right to place individual players on teams that are not full. If you are entering a team, you need to complete and file a NIS Team Application along with the individual registration forms for each of your players. You can turn in the team form and the individual forms at the same time or seperately but the individual registration form must list the team name. This process is being used to help prevent the situation where more than one team is claiming the same player is on their team or where one team is claiming that a player is on their team even though that player never agreed to play on that team.

  • What days and times are the House League games?

The games are first scheduled on the weekends, then Thursdays and Fridays and then other weekdays if needed.  On weekdays games will not start before 5:00pm.  On Saturday games start at 8:00am.  On Sunday games start at noon.  The 10's and 12's are not assigned late evening games.  The 14's will be scheduled next.  The 16's and 19's will have later games.  Most of the 19's games are late games due to their work schedules.
