2011 NIS Tiny Tot Schedule

Tiny Tot Starting Information and Session Assignments

We have three sessions this year: 1pm and 2 pm on Saturdays.  Whatever session you are assigned to is your session for the entire season.  All of the players will receive their NIS T-Shirt at the start of the first session.  If you believe that your son or daughter is at the wrong level, please talk to us and we will see if we have room at the more appropriate level.  If we see a player that we believe might do better at a different level we will talk to you about moving the player.  Of course, it is always your choice as to whether the move is actually made.

Each player must have soccer shin guards (do not pay a lot for these at this age), soccer shorts and soccer socks or athletic pants - the shin guards must be covered.  At this age many of the players prefer athletic pants because they keep them warmer and give them a little more protection.

If you cannot attend your scheduled session time becuase of a birthday party, etc., but can attend at a different time, you are allowed to attend the session that you are free.  As long as this happens infrequently there should be no problem mixing your son or daughter into the different session.

Cost: $75 per player

Tiny Tot Do & Don'ts

  • Parents can sit in the stands, in the player bench areas or can stand on the field.
  • Parents can participate in many of the activities with their children.
  • Parents are free to take pictures on the field (e-mail them to us and we will post some of them on the web site).
  • Parents can bring treats or drinks - however, you cannot have pop, juices or food in the bench area (water is okay) - the pop, juices or food should be handed out in the lobby area.
  • Non-players are not allowed on the field to play and or shoot at the net on their own (this distracks the kids).
  • Players can wear jackets or sweatshirts if they are cold.
  • Players are only allowed flat-soled tennis shoes - no spikes or cleats.

Summer Mighty Mites Program

Every year we are asked why we don't have a summer program.  The reality is that we never had the people available to help us run a summer program the way we want to run a summer program.  We are now able to look into establishing a summer program for the Tiny Tots and Mighty Mites due to the fact that we have instructors led by Jon Nash who have worked in the winter program for over a decade and are ready to expand the program.

The summer program will be an extension of the indoor program.  If you are looking to have your child develop into a travelling player, we can help work toward that goal.  If you are looking to have your child stay active and discover the fun of playing soccer, we can help achieve that goal.  Both goals are equally important to us.  Since we are not formally tied to any summer traveling program, you can be assured that we have no motives other than what is best for your child.

We are presently looking for a location in the Anoka, Andover, Coon Rapids or Ramsey areas.  We are also trying to gauge the potential interest in such a program.  If you do have an interest in a summer program for a Tiny Tot or Mighty Mite, click the link below.
