Mighty Mite Starting Information
and Session Player Lists
|
Mighty Mites
have two sessions this year: 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm on Saturdays. The time and team you are assigned to the first
week is temporary. During the first session we will evaluate all of the players and try to get similar players assigned
to the same session. Each session will be divided into two teams. we will discuss the session assignment with
you to make sure that it will work. In some cases you will want to be in the same session as another player who is at
a different level. If this is the case we will discuss which session will work the best.
Each team will
be assigned an instructor and we welcome parent volunteers to help coach. Do worry about the training or your soccer
knowledge, that is what the instructor is for.
Each session is planned and overseen by Jon Nash. Jon has
been a trainer in this program for 8 years. Jon was an all-conference sweeper, played in the Minnesota State High School
Tournament and went to State with a number of high level summer traveling teams. The other trainers have all played
soccer at a high level and have had experience training young players.
Each
player must have soccer shin guards (do not pay a lot for these at this age), soccer shorts and soccer socks or athletic pants
- the shin guards must be covered. At this age many of the players prefer athletic pants because they keep them
warmer and give them a little more protection.

The first session we will evaluate the players to make sure they are at the right level.
If we do not think they are at the right level, we will talk to you about moving to a different session. If you think
they should be at a different, level don't hesitate to talk to us. At the end of the session we will divide the
group into two different teams.
